Inspired by the role of the town common, a public gathering place for the display and exchange of ideas, The Common is a print and online literary magazine that publishes stories, essays, poetry, and art from around the world with a strong sense of place. The magazine is based at Amherst College in Massachusetts and is published biannually by The Common Foundation.
Poems that "embody a strong sense of place: pieces in which the setting is crucial to character, narrative, mood, and language." Translations welcome.
